چکیده

In this study, the radar cross-section (RCS) of a large structure is analyzed using linear bounding volume hierarchy (LBVH), which representative acceleration algorithm ray-tracing technique. A technique, high-frequency method, used to analyze electromagnetic properties structures, and (BVH), binary tree structure, applied reduce intersection search time. The improvement in calculation speed quantitatively by dividing an arbitrary scatterer into several triangles. results are compared with those multilevel fast multipole method (MLFMM) ray-launching geometrical optics (RL-GO) Feko commercial software verify accuracy. proposed technique can be utilized for efficient RCS calculations structures.

Monopole Antenna Radar Cross Section Reduction with Plasma Helix

In this paper, a new method for radar cross section reduction of a monopole antenna is proposed. In this method, a plasma helix like fluorescent bulbs is placed around the antenna element. The selected plasma parameter for this medium acts as an absorber without disturbing the antenna performance. The simulations show that radar cross section of simulated antenna is reduced in a wide frequency ...

Assessment of Aircraft Radar Cross-Section for Detection Analysis

Hiding from and surprising an opponent are tactics that have been used in warfare throughout history. They were features that aircraft originally possessed when they were first used in military operations. However, development of military technology is an endless struggle between advances in technology and counter technology. During World War II this struggle led to the development of a new tec...

Fast Converging CFIE-MoM Analysis of Electromagnetic Scattering from PEC Polygonal Cross-Section Closed Cylinders

The analysis of the electromagnetic scattering from perfectly electrically conducting (PEC) objects with edges and corners performed by means of surface integral equation formulations has drawbacks due to the interior resonances and divergence of the fields on geometrical singularities. The aim of this paper is to show a fast converging method for the analysis of the scattering from PEC polygon...

Radar Cross Section Model Optimisation Using Genetic Algorithms

Many missile–target simulation systems use random numbers to mimic the effects of a fluctuating target Radar Cross Section (RCS) in an attempt to minimise simulation times. In this paper a Genetic Algorithm is used to optimise the complexity of a pointscatterer model with a realistic radar cross section, ultimately allowing real measured data to be used in simulations. The performance of the ge...

Radar Cross-Section Estimation of SAR Images

We present an algorithm that is able to smooth out the speckle from many SAR images and which does not suuer from the drawbacks of multilooking. The algorithm is able to preserve the detail and resolution of the original image while producing a smooth, real-valued output. In many cases the quality of the smoothed image is suuciently high that it may be used with standard optical post-processing...
